It’s time for the holidays and that means it’s time to get together with family and friends to celebrate! I recently had a girl’s night gift exchange and will share with you some of my tips for the perfect get together including having the perfect beverage options! Everyone loved the Coca-Cola and Sprite Cranberry options that I provided because nothing says holiday time like the cute little glass Coca-Cola bottles or a cranberry flavored Sprite. Right now you can enjoy $20 off at Shutterfly.com if you purchase 4 Coca-Cola items which is the perfect time of year to savor the memories you make this holiday season. Your offer will be executed via Catalina print-out at register with unique pin code to redeem online here!
I shopped at my local Tom Thumb to purchase these Coca-Cola items and as you can see below, they had the cutest little holiday setup to showcase their products right inside the door. You can also shop these products at Albertsons and all of their banner stores.
After selecting the perfect beverages for your get together like my Coca-Cola items and having a few punch options, it’s then time to plan for food. To save time and stress, I compiled a detailed list of all the items I wanted to get. For this event, I did meat and cheese boards that paired perfectly with the Coca-Cola products. I always like to provide at least 3 or 4 different cheese options as well as 3 or 4 different meats options. I also had crackers, bread and grapes to finish off the charcuterie boards. To save time with slicing the meats and cheeses, I do it the day before and save in resealable bags so that I’m not rushing on the day of. This also makes it easy to replenish the platters as they run out. Don’t forget to have options for the vegetarian and vegan guests! I always provide a sort of veggie tray and popcorn which is also a huge hit every time! Along with those, I of course needed some desserts and included a few chocolate options and sugar cookies.
Now that the beverage and food options are taken care of, it’s time to focus on the decor part. I always coordinate cups, straws, plates and napkins that go with my theme. This time around, my theme was “Winter Wonderland”, so I used white and metallic accents to match my Christmas tree including some adorable napkins that say “Baby it’s cold outside” and a little snowman that I painted myself! Going with this theme, I put out some pretty white roses to tie it all together..and maybe I just wanted an excuse to buy myself some pretty flowers. 😉
Since this was a gift exchange and I knew there were going to be about fifteen of us, I decorated a special table for all the presents to be placed on. Also, we all love taking pictures, so a backdrop was a must! I tacked up string Christmas lights down a plain white wall to create a perfectly lit backdrop for all our photo ops! I can’t wait to create a photo item at Shutterfly.com with some of our fun pictures from this event so that I can cherish these memories forever!
Lastly, make sure you have enough seating! I had to cap my event at 15 total because that was the max amount that I could fit in my apartment. My living room doesn’t usually fit that many, but with a little rearranging and adding in a bench here and a chair there, it was the perfect fit for a great night!
For your next party with family or friends, be sure to provide the beverage everyone will love- Coca-Cola! Purchase only 4 Coca-Cola items and you can get your own $20 off coupon to Shutterfly.com through 12/28.
I would love to know some of your party planning tips in the comments. Happy Holidays!
