29 Nov Ari’s Baby Shower
Time is flying by so fast and Ari will now be here before I know it! A few weeks ago I had Ari’s Baby Shower in Addison with some amazing family and friends that made it oh so special! Thank you times a million to my Mommy and my great friend Robyne for making it the best shower that I could have ever imagined. Also a huge thank you to Emily from By Emily Jane Photography for capturing all of these special moments that I will treasure forever and be able to share with baby Ari one day.
Photographer: By Emily Jane // Location: Airbnb // Flowers: Southern Affairs // Floral A Decor: Dylan Palmer Designs // Cake: Luis Terceiro (my brother-in-law) // Popcorn: The Popcorn Shack // Macarons: Chelles Macarons // Cotton Candy: Cottonsmith // Cookies: Ooh La La Cookies // Baby Shower Quilt Kit: Crazy4Claire // Dessert Stands: World Market // Invitations/Signs: Etsy
We held the shower at an Airbnb in a centrally located area for all the guests and Charles (the host) was great to work with and has the best house for entertaining. I wanted to keep it cozy, so we went this route instead of renting a venue or restaurant space and it was more convenient for set up and cleanup since we had the house for the entire weekend.
Guests were greeted at the door with butler served champagne to kick off the shower and a full spread of yummy snacks and desserts were spread out on his gorgeous table. We pulled some items from Ari’s nursery for decor and I couldn’t have been happier how pretty it all turned out.
The bar in the kitchen had a mimosa bar setup and punch also for people make drinks if they wanted more than champagne. The theme matches Ari’s nursery with bunnies and shades of green, so I was excited to see these signs from Etsy that worked perfectly.
Instead of a traditional guest book, we did a baby shower guest quilt where everyone signed or wrote a little note a quilt square. Claire4Claire has the coolest kit for this! You pick your design and she ships you everything you need (squares, pens & instructions) and also includes a return label and envelope for you to mail the completed squares to. Within a few weeks, she finishes the quilt and mails it back to you and it’s such a great price! I just sent mine off, but I’ll give you all an update once I receive it back.
Finally, what shower would be complete without favors!? Each guest took a delicious wrapped cookie with them from Ooh La La Cookies that matched the theme with a monogrammed A and bunny design.
I’ll let you all checkout all the photos from my baby shower below and if you have any questions or comments, be sure to let me know!
Thank you so much for everyone that came to the shower and the ones that sent me sweet messages that couldn’t make it! You all made this day so special for me and now I can’t wait for baby Ari to arrive!
I hope you all enjoyed seeing the details from my baby shower. 🙂
Stay Fancy! <3 Hollie
