Happy Independence Day, America

04 Jul Happy Independence Day, America

Happy Independence Day, America! July 4th means it’s time to bring out the red, white and blue and show your patriotic side!

Lauren (my photographer), Kristen (the bestie) and myself took a little road trip to Ennis a few weeks ago with smoke bombs on board. We knew we would have to go outside of Dallas (hello expensive fine!) and find the perfect hidden spot to shoot without people thinking we were crazy and calling the police on us.

We found this perfect little dirt road for just that! I love how perfect these turned out. Being from a small town, I grew up doing fireworks myself, so this gave me a little blast from the past being able to do them again.

After finishing, we headed to the Galaxy Drive-In movie where we continued our journey of fun spots for photos and watched a comedy in the comfort of the A/C. (hello hot hot hot Texas weather!) ..Stay tuned for those shots coming soon. ūüėČ

When I started looking for the perfect holiday outfit, I knew I wanted to purchase something that I could wear again and again all summer. I say that because I bought an American flag maxi dress a few years ago for the 4th and wore it literally once and then was like hmm..when am I really going to wear this again!?

This graphic top from Express is the perfect summer top to throw on! It’s a super soft material (like all of the Express One Eleven items) and I loved the sour cherry red color. These shorts are from New York and Company and are the perfect length for denim shorts and I love the star details along the bottom. Finish it off with some white converse (these are wedges!) and a bandana neck scarf and it’s simple, but the perfect summer look that can be worn over and over!Holliesummer(15of201) Holliesummer(24of201) Holliesummer(22of201)
